Iain Abernethy has been involved in the martial arts since childhood. Iain holds the rank of 5th Dan with both the British Combat Association (one of the world's leading groups for close-quarter combat, self-protection and practical martial arts) and Karate England (the official governing body for Karate in England). Iain regularly writes for the UK's leading martial arts magazines and he is a member of the "Combat Hall of Fame".

Ishigaki is the largest and most well established gay martial arts club in the United Kingdom.
The club started in 1994 and is still going from strength to strength. Over the years we have had hundreds of people from dozens of nationalities come along to train with us.

Welham Martial Arts was formed in 1995 by Shihan Ken Culshaw with its headquarters in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. WMA consists of affiliated groups in England, Scotland, Wales, Norway, Germany and Romania and an ever increasing 'visiting list' in Belgium, Sweden and Canada.
