Carmarthen Judo Club was founded in 1973 by judo enthusiasts Gwilym Vanderbrink (a blue-belt at the time) and Mike Edwards (a brown belt).

The club usually attracts between 30 - 35 members every year. We have a fairly even spread of grades, a good mix of people at various stages of their studies, a few non-students and quite a few female members so this club is for you regardless of age, gender or ability.

Glasgow University Judo Club was founded in 1953 (allegedly) and consequently it has celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2003.
