Gradings
Grading (getting tags on your belt and new belt colours) is the process by which you demonstrate your improving knowledge and ability of
judo techniques and terminology. Juniors can grade every other calendar month (maximum) but can go up only one grade at a time. Junior
grades are as follows :

1st Mon – 3rd Mon

Red Belt – 1, 2 or 3 tags

4th Mon – 6th Mon
|
Yellow Belt – 1, 2 or 3 tags
|

7th Mon – 9th Mon
|
Orange Belt – 1, 2 or 3 tags
|
|
10th Mon – 12th Mon
|
Green Belt – 1, 2 or 3 tags
|
|
13th Mon – 15th Mon
|
Blue Belt – 1, 2 or 3 tags
|
|
16th Mon – 18th Mon
|
Brown Belt – 1, 2 or 3 tags

Before you are able to grade :
- Please check with you coach to see if you are ready to grade.
- Learn the grading syllabus!
- Make sure your licence is valid.
- Bring your grading payment when you apply to grade.
- Be aware that your name will go onto a grading waiting list. During busy periods you may have to wait for your grading.
